Jubilee Lodge, Bourton-On-The-Water

74 bedroom care home

Development: Completed 2012 Location: Bourton-On-The-Water Client: The Orders of St John

Built and opened in 2012, Jubilee Lodge is situated in a quiet Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Water; ‘the Venice of the Cotswolds’.

Located in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this new home compliments the Cotswold Architectural style and has been built with a mixture of local quarried warm yellow natural stone and reconstituted stone, steeply pitched reducing gauge roof with tall chimneys, narrow gables, exposed eaves, dormer windows.

It’s balanced design with evenly spaced sash style windows complies with the Cotswold Design Code and was designed in close collaboration with the Conservation Officer of the Planning Authority.

The Care Home provides 74 en-suite bedrooms, spread over 2 floors, and 4 wings. The narrower building form of each of the wings and the twin roof allows for reduced eaves and varied ridge heights to create the appearance of unique dwellings in the form of historic ‘mews’ and ‘coach houses’.
