The Fairways, Chippenham
Retirement Village
The Fairways Retirement Village lies just outside the town of Chippenham. The project evolved from a Partnership embraced between the Developer Freeman Care and Chippenham Golf Club which occupied the site. The Clubhouse was dated and needed extensive refurbishment, and the opportunity to work with a developer realised the potential to have a new facility on the same site.
As part of the development, a new Golf Clubhouse was designed to meet the specification of Chippenham Golf Club. The Design of the new Clubhouse was approved and the first phase commenced with the construction of the Clubhouse in its new location. Alterations to the existing golf course were required, enabling land adjacent to the road to be made available for the Fairways Retirement development to be constructed.
The members of the Golf Club and the residents of the Fairways Retirement Village benefit from their close location, with the opportunity available to the residents to become social members and gain some wonderful views across to the golf course.
The Fairways provides for a Two storey 60 bedroom Care home and 75 1,2, and 3 Bedroom apartments over three floors that are linked to a communal hub. Residents can enjoy extensive facilities including a large restaurant, Wellness centre including a large pool and jacuzzi and gymnasium.
